Welcome To The Bracket Of Truth

This blog has been created due to the overall inability of most analysts to accurately depict the landscape of college basketball (that includes you, Joe Lunardi). The goal of this blog is to create a daily mock brackets of the Men's College Basketball Tournament more commonly known as "March Madness". The bracket will try to emulate what the selection committee will do. Because of this, the team selection and seeding are based off of 2 things:
1. A formula we created that takes into account all the criteria used by the selection committee (RPI, SOS, Records versus different levels of competition (RPI 1-10, RPI 11-25, RPI 26-50, etc.), Road/Neutral Record, Record in Last 10 Games, etc.)
2. Human judgement of how good the teams actually are. After all, the selection committee's goal has always been to put the 34 best teams in, not the 34 most deserving. Therefore, strict reliance on any computated formula would not be accurate.

Two brackets will be created each day. One known as the "Mike Bracket", the other known as the "Jacob Bracket"

The teams are ranked within the seeds from first to last. Teams in bold are automatic qualifiers.
